Table Navigation Shortcut Keys

(Learning and Programming in the Table View)

DotBlue.png The CPS supports several Navigation Shortcut Key that enhance data entry while adding or editing fields within the CPS Table View. Available Shortcut Keys include: the <Tab> key, the Arrow keys (Up é, Down ê, Left ç, and Right è), the <Page Up> key, the <Page Down> key, the <Home> key, and the <End> key.

The CPS Alternate Mode button allow you to switch from the Single Record view to the Table View. The Table View allows for adding or editing data in a multiple record / row format.

 

Single Record View

EDIT MODE is entered whenever a Combo Box becomes selected, or when the cursor is within an Edit-Type field (one that allows data to be typed in). During this Edit Mode, the Navigation Shortcut keys behave differently. To exit the Edit Mode and select another field, press <Tab> or <Shift+Tab>, or click the mouse cursor on the desired field.

ACTION:

Tab

Selects the next data-entry field from left-to-right.

Shift + Tab

Selects the previous data-entry field from right-to-left.

Right Arrow è

Selects the next data-entry field from left-to-right.

Left Arrow ç

Selects the previous data-entry field from right-to-left.

Down Arrow ê

Selects the same field in the next record / row.

Up Arrow é

Selects the same field in the previous record / row.

Page Down

Selects the last record / row in the active view.

Page Up

Selects the first record / row in the active view.

Home

Moves the focus to the first column of the selected record / row.

End

Moves the focus to the last column of the selected record / row.
